INTERNATIONAL FOOD AND AGRIBUSINESS MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION

NewCASTLE University, UK

Agriculture, Food and Rural Development

Program Description

We achieved an impressive overall satisfaction score of 95% in the 2014 National Student Survey, ranking us third in the UK.

Agri-Business Management is taught by both the School of Agriculture, Food and Rural Development and Newcastle University Business School. The course covers a wide variety of fundamental business principles, including management, marketing, law and finance.

We have excellent regional links with businesses within the agri-supply chain, including:

  • JR Holland
  • Tynegrain
  • Asda
  • Blagdon Estate

These links often help place you in businesses that lead the industry during your optional placement year.

Agri-Business Management is taught via lectures, seminars and small group tutorials but you won’t just be sitting in the classroom. Our course is taught by learning first-hand through study visits to a variety of businesses and the University’s two farms.
