Program Description

The Department of Agricultural and Resources Economics undergraduate program provides education and coursework to prepare students to think analytically and apply decision-making skills to problems of production and distribution of food products and the management of natural resources and the environment. The program is highly flexible and caters to individualized interests while the curriculum allows students to develop multiple skills and interests from the major areas of study and concentrations offered.

Our program offers three concentrations and students may concentrate in one or more of the following areas: Marketing and Business Management, Environmental Economics and Policy, and International Development. Concentrations are optional and are not required for the major.

ARE offers three minors: Agribusiness Management, Environmental Economics and Policy, and Equine Business Management.
