2021 VIRTUAL SYMPOSIUM
There is renewed urgency to find solutions that will improve our food system. Battered by the pandemic, climate change and geopolitical instability, a radical rethinking is needed to change the current paradigm-- from producer and importer--to the end consumer.
Our new theme “Innovations Reshaping the Future of Food” will present novel initiatives in 2021 that are reshaping the global food chain.
IFAMA provides the World’s premium agribusiness platform for interactions between industry, researchers, teachers and students. Contributors are invited to share their novel perspectives at the IFAMA 2021 Virtual Conference.
Note: Researchers who have already submitted papers intended for the Costa Rica 2021 conference need not resubmit their papers. These papers will remain within their original track (Technologies and digital transformation for sustainability in Agribusiness) as outlined in the previous call for papers.

Teaching Cases may cover any topic of managerial relevance, but preferably related to one of the IFAMA 2021 themes which explore innovations that are currently reshaping the agribusiness sector.
Submission Deadlines for Teaching Cases
February 21: Notification decisions on cases submitted for Costa Rica 2021
March 31: Submission deadline for Teaching Cases.
Early May: Notification of acceptance to present virtually during IFAMA 2021 conference.
Please read complete submission guidelines for Teaching Cases
SPECIAL ISSUES
The Scientific Committee will select the best papers presented at the conference and consider them for publication in special issues of leading international academic journals such as the International Food and Agribusiness Review, Journal of Agricultural Economics, Technological Forecasting and Social Change , Journal on Food System Dynamics (IJFSD), and a Handbook, a collection of selected papers published by Rutledge. All papers will follow the respective guidelines for the selected journal. If you are interested in publishing, do not miss the opportunity to submit a full paper by 31-March. Please note: the special issue for the Technological Forecasting and Social Change will only contain papers relevant to Track 3.
Please Note: The acceptance and invitation to present your research paper during the IFAMA 2021 Symposium does not guarantee acceptance of the paper for publication in a Special Issue. While most papers presented at the conference are not ready for publication, many provide a good starting point but require additional work before they are publishable. So, true to its nature, IFAMA selects a number of papers for possible development into Special Issues, based on their potential. The Special Issue Editors will then work together with experienced reviewers, to help the invited authors further develop their paper to a publishable standard.
